Set Up Two-Factor Authentication

Add an extra layer of security to your account with an authenticator app.

What is two-factor authentication?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) requires a second verification step at sign-in — a time-based one-time code from an authenticator app — in addition to your password. This means someone who has your password still can't access your account without your phone.

Enable 2FA

  1. Go to Account → Security → Two-factor authentication.
  2. Click Enable 2FA.
  3. Download an authenticator app if you don't have one. Recommended: Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password.
  4. Scan the QR code shown on screen with your authenticator app.
  5. Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app to confirm setup.
  6. Save your backup codes in a safe place. You'll need these if you lose access to your authenticator app.

Sign in with 2FA enabled

After entering your email and password, you'll be prompted to enter a 6-digit code. Open your authenticator app, find MeGoShow, and enter the current code. Codes refresh every 30 seconds.

Lost access to your authenticator app

Use one of your saved backup codes to sign in. Each code can only be used once. After signing in, go to Account → Security → 2FA to reconfigure with a new device.

If you've lost both your authenticator app and your backup codes, contact support for identity verification and account recovery.

Disable 2FA

Go to Account → Security → Two-factor authentication → Disable. You'll be asked to confirm with your current password. Disabling 2FA is not recommended unless you're reconfiguring to a new device.
