Legal — Plain Language

Our terms, in plain English.

Legal documents are notoriously hard to read. This is a plain-language summary of what MeGoShow's Terms of Service actually say.

This summary doesn't replace the full legal text.

If there's ever a conflict between this summary and the actual Terms of Service, the full legal document controls. This page is here to help you understand your rights and responsibilities — not to create new ones. Read the full Terms of Service →

For Everyone

What MeGoShow is

MeGoShow is a ticketing and event management platform. We provide the tools for organizers to sell tickets and for buyers to discover and attend events. We are not the organizer of any event unless explicitly stated.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must be 18 or older to create an organizer account or purchase tickets to age-restricted events. You may not share accounts or use another person's account without authorization.

Our use of your data

We collect and use your data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using MeGoShow, you consent to that collection and use.

Platform fees

MeGoShow earns revenue through per-ticket service fees. Free events have no fee. All fees are disclosed before a transaction is completed. We never hide fees in fine print.

Prohibited use

You may not use MeGoShow to sell tickets to events that are fraudulent, illegal, or that violate our Acceptable Use Policy. MeGoShow may suspend or terminate accounts engaged in prohibited activity without notice.

Disputes

If you have a dispute regarding a transaction, contact MeGoShow support first. We'll work to resolve it. If a dispute escalates, it will be governed by the laws of the State of Florida and the terms of our dispute resolution process.

2

For Buyers

What you're buying

When you purchase a ticket on MeGoShow, you're entering a contract with the event organizer — not with MeGoShow. MeGoShow is the platform that processes the transaction on the organizer's behalf. Your ticket grants you a revocable license to attend the event.

Refunds

Refund eligibility depends on the event organizer's refund policy, which is displayed before you purchase. MeGoShow's Buyer Protection Policy covers you in defined circumstances (event cancellation without refund, major misleading event changes). Outside of those, refunds are at the organizer's discretion.

Ticket transfers

If the organizer has enabled transfers, you can transfer your ticket to another person through your MeGoShow account before the event. Some events may restrict this.

Resale

Unauthorized resale may be prohibited by the organizer. Listings that misrepresent ticket availability, price, or validity violate our Acceptable Use Policy and may result in account action.

For Organizers

What you're agreeing to

By creating an event on MeGoShow, you agree to our organizer terms, which include our Acceptable Use Policy. You confirm that you have the right to put on the event, sell tickets to it, and collect associated revenue.

Your responsibilities

You're responsible for delivering the event as advertised. If an event changes materially or is cancelled, you're responsible for communicating with attendees and processing refunds per your stated refund policy. MeGoShow may step in under Buyer Protection if you do not.

Fees and payouts

MeGoShow charges a platform fee on each ticket sold. The exact fee is displayed before you publish. You receive payouts after the event according to our Payout Schedule. MeGoShow may hold funds in dispute resolution circumstances.

Event cancellations

If you cancel an event, you must issue refunds to all ticket holders unless you've made alternative arrangements that buyers have accepted. MeGoShow reserves the right to issue refunds on your behalf and deduct the amounts from future payouts.

Attendee data

Buyer information collected during checkout (names, emails, ticket details) is provided to you for the purpose of running the event. It may not be used for unrelated marketing without buyer consent, sold, or transferred to third parties.

Intellectual property

You retain ownership of any original content (event descriptions, images, branding) you upload. By publishing it on MeGoShow, you grant MeGoShow a non-exclusive license to display it on the platform and in promotional materials.

4

Liability and Limitations

Our liability is limited

MeGoShow provides the platform “as is.” We are not liable for the actions of organizers, the quality or delivery of events, or force majeure cancellations. Our maximum liability in any dispute is limited to the amount you paid in the transaction in question.

No consequential damages

To the extent permitted by law, MeGoShow is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost revenue for organizers or disappointment for buyers.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of Pinellas County, Florida.

5

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms over time. If we make material changes, we'll notify active users by email or in-app notification before changes take effect. Continuing to use MeGoShow after that notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
